Can a corrupt Access database cause problems with other other applications or computer and if so how? Personally I don't believe it can, but was told this by one of our IT guys.

Access being a desktop DB can if poorly designed use up a good lump of network bandwidth or memory, but that has nothing to do with it being corrupt.

outlook can work with access to collect data requested via email to recipients and if the db is corrupted can effect collection. I really think its access the collects from outlook but its oranges and tangerines, you get my meaning.
