Corrupted Access DB…HELP

I have an Access (2000)database that has 6 or so tables in it. One of the tables in the database was printed and then dissapeared. I have backups of the database (2 weeks worth) and when I restore the database the table is missing from each one. Question is .. are the tables part of the main db or is it a separate file? Cannot figure out why it would be missing from the back up db. Many thanks beforehand….
