    CPU SPEED TOO HIGH

    Intel i7-2600 CPU 3.40GHz my CPU speed is showing 29000000-30000000GHz Utilization 100% :O why ?

      Please go to task manager and monitor activities that take tooo much cpu usage and please terminate that task. This will fix your problem

        I’ve seen that never show what it was. My favorite is when it’s the HDD having trouble and Windows goes to 100% in the task manage. The users try everything you may have read about except change the HDD.

        This one is easy to spot if you know what to look for. Go get SPECCY (see Google) and look at the SMART VALUE 01 and 07 raw values. If either is in the thousands you have found a very common cause.

      I think you have changed the Windows power from “Balanced” to “High performance”. The Windows high power performance might be the reason where the CPU would be forced to run at constant full speed. So, go to the power setting and change it to balanced.
