Crash restart under heavy cpu load during gaming sometimes

I have been having problems when playing certain games where my pc freezes and restarts. It only happens with some CPU intensive games like Dying Light and now it is happening with Warframe. Power turns off and back on also during the restart. The funny thing is if I start up the same game again after the restart, I have no problems for the rest of the day playing until I turn off my pc and resume the next day or so.

Are you using on-board graphics on your computer’s motherboard or a separate video card? Have you used the same game on another computer with similar results? Hard to know what is causing the issue without knowing what type of computer hardware you are using and/or more detailed information about the issue that is occurring. Have you reached out to the game author?

My instinct tells me that it is likely an overheating issue. You may need to check the heatsink on the CPU or confirm that the case cooling fans are operating properly.

It can be caused by overheating. You can check the cooling fans are working or not.

Step 1: Go to the Control Panel.
Step 2: Then go to “Windows Updates”
Step 3: Click on “Check for Updates”.
Step 4: Now, look for graphic card drivers; these will appear with manufacturer names present on them, such as “Intel Graphics” or “AMD Graphics”.
Step 5: If each of these has options for updates, then update them accordingly.
