    i recently installed windows 2000 on a user pc. it si not ntfs. is there any way to go back and create a multi config partition with win 95

      You can try Partition Magic Software to create a new partition using the unused space on your sigle partition.

        having both operating systems on different partitions will help but i didnt want to spend more money on other utilities

      This will be a simple job as long as your partition is fat16. If booting to DOS is one of your boot options, then read article Q155034 in the Microsoft knowledge base. If DOS is not one of the options, read article Q153762.

        thanks for the tip it help greatly i thought that their might be a way with out spending more money on other utilities

      It’s a real breeze with System Commander 2000. The latest version does most things like this automatically, and even has graphical wizards to help partition and prepare for multi OS’es.
