Creating a Search Engine

By yousuf_300 ·
I have created a page consisting primarily of html. I want to install a search engine in my page that can search through a series oh html pages that are connected through a series of links. Where can I get that kind of search engine from and how can I add the code to my web page? Is this search engine going to require serious changes across the spectrum for my pages or can I just place the code in the central location or main page of my pages. The page is basically structured with a toolbarand content side. Is there any way I can just take the code from some one else's search engine and place it in my page without having to learn something more complicated than html like javascript or perl.

Thanks

If you have very few pages, you may want to consider picosearch.com. If you have hundreds or thousands of pages, you can license Infoseek, Alta Vista, or Thunderstone.

Try searchenginewatch.com. They have a section that discusses adding search engine to your website.
