Creating Configuration Documentation

I am looking to create some server documentation as part of our DR plans.My Exchange 5.5 server is first to get the treatment following a crash last week (yeah we were unprepared)I want to get the DR plans as tight as possible and learn from our mistakes of last week.I haven’t written this type of document before and could really do with some advice regarding how to structure it and what details I should be putting in.
