Creating .MSI Package. What am I doing wrong?

By Norbin ·

I'm new to creating .MSI packages to be applied via Group Policies. In my search for a utility to create the .MSI package I found Caphyon. I created a .msi for an application called PublicFolders by CodeTwo but I am unable to created a package that would installed the software silently. Meaning I am unable to created a package the will not prompt the user's for any input. Can anyone assist?

Remote Installs - MSI Packages Using Active Directory Group Policies

Install Requirements
For several agents or components, you can use Active Directory Group Policy Objects (GPOs) to remote the installation out to remote clients. An MSI package can be pushed out using full interface mode. After the remote installation is complete, you can use the load an ADM template available in the Resource Pack to override Registry settings for the remote installation of Outlook Add-In. (See Tools and Utilities for more information.)

This remote install type is supported by the following:

* Data Classification Enabler
* DataArchiver Outlook Add-In/Archived Mail Browser
* File Share Archiver Client

When the DataArchiver Outlook Add-In is installed, the Archived Mail Browser will automatically be installed as well. In cases where Outlook is not present on the computer, only the Archived Mail Browser will be installed. The Archived Mail Browser is supported for use with the following agents:

* Exchange Mailbox Archiver Agent
* Exchange Mailbox iDataAgent

Verify that the computer in which you wish to install the software satisfies the requirements specified in the following, as appropriate:
