CRM 3.0 laptop client issue

If anyone can help I need some information on a CRM client problem that I am stumped on. I have one our Sales laptops running Vista, and Office 2007. We have CRM, and the 3.0 laptop client for Office 2007 is installed. However the user is getting scheduling errors when trying to update scheduled appointments. He opens the Calendar in Outlook 2007, and then tries to update the schedule to our Sales Director's email. The following error keeps popping up after hitting the "Update" button while tracking in CRM: "Scheduling Error
The following potential problems have been found
No resources have been selected for this activity.
Do want to ignore these errors and save?"

Whether you select "yes" or "no" to save it, the error keeps popping up every 30 seconds or so, even if you close Outlook and reopen. I am not the least bit familiar with CRM other than it is the biggest headache I have in our network. I am not sure anyone out there deals with CRM, but I would really appreciate any information that could be given to me.
