CSICI Security Cert

By gralfus ·
Does anyone know about this cert, i.e. does it have respect in the security community or not? It is issued by www.cybersecurityinstitute.biz

They are offering classes at my local college.

I'm not familiar with it

by Joseph Moore In reply to CSICI Security Cert

Nope, can't say that I've heard of that one, but there are quite a few security certs out there.
Ones I know of are the CompTIA Security+, GIAC certifications (http://www.giac.org/), and the (ICS)2 certifications SSCP and the CISSP (http://www.isc2.org/).
CISSP is considered the uber-security cert! The SSCP is their starter security cert.
Myself, I am going for the SSCP at the end of the summer, then the CISSP when I feel I am ready (and when I get sponsorship to take the CISSP test; a current CISSP person has to sponsor you to take the exam!).

There is one other "security" cert that I heard of months ago that I just think is hilarious: the Certified Ethical Hacker, CEH!
Yep. You too can be a certified Hacker!
Seriously!

Good article that focuses mainly on the CISSP, but more generally on other security certs.
