Customize e-mail formats

In re: Nov 5 item on Word

When working in the Office 2000 version of Word and Outlook you can not set up signatures or stationary when Word is your default e-mail editor. First you must revert to the default editor for Outlook, then set up signatures or stationary in Word, and after that change Outlook back to using Word as the default e-mail editor in order to use the signature or stationary. Microsoft conveniently neglects to mention this in the Help utility, and you have done the same in today's edition of Microsoft Office Suite at TechRepublic.

DON'T use Word as E-mail editor

by thudson56 In reply to Customize e-mail formats

It slows everything down and adds bloat to any message. Not to mention Outlook and Word are very different, and you will find that you have to waste time tweaking everything (see above message) to make it work like you want. If you want to make it all pretty, especially at work, you are wasting time on something that is simply meant to get information through quickly. I can't believe TechRepublic is advocating this! It is such a bad idea.
