Cut to 20

By alan ·
Hired to help get ready for switch over to Electronic Medical Records in an Organic Network that needed to be redone from the ground up. Rewired and started to work on the logical network (along with several other projects that were "burning issues") only to have a non-technical manager say that they were cutting hours to 20/week because the "hard work" was done.

..and here I thought that medical would have been one of the safest bets.

Beats "fired" but not by much.

You can use that other "20" to find something full time.

find something better and full-time, and then dump them.

Good luck, Alan. I really wish you the best.

Almost as bad as getting fired/Layed off, and being asked to train your replacement.

Did you know that you would be working yourself out of a job when hired?
