Cyber Security Job in the Future

Next year I will continue my study to the university and I want to make sure that what I am going to learn, is going to e useful in the future. So, I’m considering to study about cyber security. My question is: What do you think about cybersecurity job in the future?will AI substitute the role of cyber security experts? and lastly, if it will, how many years will it take for the AI be developed?

Probably not but the Grunt Work will likely disappear but the Experts will always be needed for what the AI’s can not deal with.

In the short term at least it’s defiantly there but like all things being able to do it is a different story and then you have to work within the limits that the Business allows. I’ve seen many cases where good IT Security gets dropped because the Boss doesn’t like the what they have been stooped from doing what they want to.

No Idea it all depends on what they want the AI to actually do but I can say this every AI I have ever dealt with makes Bat Droppings look Intelligent so by that standard it is already there. At the moment every AI I’ve ever dealt with is very Low Level Computer Logic based around if this happens then do that and they currently run into trouble when something more complex happens.

But if you want a Long Term Future in IT the only real job that is not going to be programmed away in any reasonable Time Frame is Writing AI’s so maybe that is the Growth Area in IT for the time being.
