Data Access Pages in ACCESS

I’m trying to create Data Access Pages (DAP) for users to access an Access database via Internet Explorer. In order to do this, XP Office Web Components are needed.

Do these web components need to be installed on each client or only at the shared web server where the database resides?

  Yes as far as i know you would need to install the web components on client machines assuming office xp is used and they do not have it installed.

    Thanks. But some of the client machines go as far back as Win 95 and it doesn’t permit the installation of OWC; although I did learn that they will be connecting via terminal server (Svr2003).
    
    Do OWC still need to be installed if you’re connecting via terminal services?

      As long as the TS has OWC installed there shouldn’t be a problem. The terminal server only returns output (video, sound etc. ) to the client.
