Data format on LAN network

By Beginner9 ·
Hi all

I am new to this site and I find this website is very helpful.

can any one tell me what is the data format on the lan network. digital or analog.

if analog where the data is modulated and does the router read analog signals?

if digital where the data is modulated

Thanks in Advanced

I'm not aware of any analog data in normal use.

Almost everything is ones and zeroes, digital all the way. There may be some niche analog apps, but unless you're dealing with those specific systems, you can drop the word 'analog' from your working vocabulary.

Why not tell us what research you have done so far, as to why you would have an analog signal on a local area network? It seems that your trying to not directly ask the question your trying to solve.

If your gonna ask questions that seem to pertain to homework. You should be clearer as to what research you have done thus far.

Thank you all

As far as my knowledge, the computer reads/writes digital data (1's and 0's).

My question was does the NIC converts the digital data to analog or not?

IF yes/No what is the data format on LAN network?

Thanks in advance
