database only opens read only from LAN

I have a MS Access database created from Office XP, saved in Access2000 format, with multi-user acounts and pindividual permissions that is replicated. My problem is that the database will only open as read only from computers other than the one it was created from. I have already set up a workgroup file on the server, and that did not fix the problem. I’ve basically tried everything I can think of over the past 2 months, and can’t fix it. Can anybody help?
