Date Format in Access Database

By cbremar ·
I am trying to store a date (04/03/03) in this format:

030304 (year, day, month).

Does anyone know how to do this?

For the relevant field use yymmdd as notation. No matter what you enter, it will be displayed as you want.
Good luck.

Short date will give year at the end. The story below specifies in more words basically the same as I pointed out already. Only do not use short date but use yymmdd

Bring up your table that contains the date you are wanting to format-view the table in "datasheet" view. Select your date field under the column "field name" and then select to the right of the column, under Data type, select from the drop down window "Date/time". Next, on the bottom of your screen will be another section thus allowing you to format this field even more. Under the general tab, in the format section, click in the box on the right, then select from the drop down window "short date" and save the changes to your table. Problem fixed.
