Dates in Outlook 2k mis-formatted

by craig . Updated 18 years, 3 months ago

Hello,

Some time ago I had a problem with my keyboard and entered alot of trash until I figured out the problem. I managed to cure all the other problems that this created, but there is one left that I cannot resolve.

The formatting of the date and time in MS Outlook 2000 Pro is fouled up (in only one of my two users). It still functions, but I cannot see the date or time that an email came in or was sent, the dates on the calendar, etc.

I can still sort the emails in a folder and I know that the sorting is correct, from the sequence that I recognise from the past 1-2 days’ emails.

I can select from the existing format choice (the choices are “/” “/>” “/>>” “/>>>” etc to / plus 15times >), but I cannot add in a new format (like dd.mm.yyyy hh:mm).

Any ideas how I can cure this? As I say, it works normally in one user but not the other.

My only idea at the moment is to backup the pst (don’t remember, is this the correct name) file and reload Outlook. I don’t want to endanger the existing emails, since there are about 5 years of business mails here with very valuable information.

Thanks for any feedback…

Craig Hesser
