DC of parent domain failed

I have a parent domain with one DC and a child domain with another DC. The DC of parent domain down. Thus I cant remove the DC of child domain without format hardisk. any suggestion?
Or should I install 2 DC in parent domain next time? Welcome to share!

Unless you can get that parent DC up and running again, you won't be able to remove AD from the child. Microsoft does have a way to remove AD manually, but you'll have to connect to your parent DC, which is the problem to begin with.

look like you'll have to format.

I recommend you to install another DC on the site and make a replication so every DC has exactly the same copy and then after you accomplish that remove the failed server
