Delayed email delivery

by usaatca2001 . Updated 23 years, 7 months ago

We have Exchange 5.5 (SP4) running on NT 4.0 (SP6). The version of Outlook we are using is from Office 97 (which we’re still using). The problem is my PC running W2K (SP2) & one user running W9.x. Email was running OK until one day a few of months ago when my messages would not show up in Outlook unless I clicked on another folder or opened an old message. I don’t when the user’s problem showed up, but she has the same problem as I do.

Mail is configured to be delivered to our mailboxes. There have been no changes made to either the server (other than the ongoing MS patches), my PC (other than ongoing MS patches) or the other user’s PC (no changes). Is this a configuration problem (why when none have been made) or are our mailboxes damaged some how? If damaged, can they be repaired?
