Delegates with permission to view private items still can't.

By Mobil-D ·
Hai guiz, I'm having an issue with delegates in Outlook 2003. I have a shared mailbox with delegates with owner permission to the mailbox, inbox and subfolders. They have no problems accessing email. The only problem is when I receive a message marked as private. None of the delegates can see it, even though I've checked 'Delegate can see my private items' for all of them. What am I missing? Any help would be appreciated.

Try Calendar permissions

by Dedlbug In reply to Delegates with permission ...

Not sure why, but if you grant permissions to the Calendar folder for the delegates AND the Inbox, you might be able to have access to the private items. Even if you don't plan on using the Calendar for private items, you have to allow delegates to view private items in the Calendar for the other folders to work.

Try it, let us know. =]

Thank you!

That worked! Thank you so much. Calendar permissions required to look at inbox items? How odd. :)
