Delete files from a deleted user account

The old user account has already been deleted but the user folder still exists in C:\Documents and Settings. There are 2 user accounts that has already been deleted but the folders still exist. How do I delete this files safely?

windows explorer, select the user folder and delete.

Just login as an admin and delete the folders. If there are any files you want to backup, do this first!

To delete a folder created within a former User Account, you may need to take ownership of the file or folder. The Microsoft bulletin shows you how to do this.

Delete the user profiles

Right click 'My Computer', click on the advanced tab. Click the settings button in 'User Profiles'. Highlight the profile you want to delete, and click the delete button.

This should remove the folder from 'C:\Documents and Settings'.

If you remove users

from the profiles Tab (computer properties, Advanced) it will remove these folders for you as well as delete the user.
