Deleted Mailbox in Exchange 5.5

I have a customer who has deleted a 5.5 mailbox (there was no deleted item retention period set) and does not have a backup. He did stop the Exchange services and copy the Exchange folder about 10 minutes after this. Is it possible that the data is still in the database / log files? If so can we recover it and how?
