The title indicates the specific computer I am working on, but I have a feeling that it is a generic laptop LCD question.
I have a LCD that when booted, “lights up,” but the screen remains black. It works when connected to an external monitor.
I have worked a similar problem, only in that case, the LCD didn’t light up but I could faintly see my screen, the fix for that was swapping out the inverter. I have a feeling that won’t solve this one.
Aside from bad cables, has anyone had a problem like this? Do I need to buy a new LCD?
