Hi, Our network presently consists of users on a Win2K platform, running Office 97 (we have yet to upgrade Office due to database migration problems).
We would like to deploy Outlook 2000 to all desktops in preparation of a new Exchange 2000 server install (migrating from Sendmail).
Our preference would be to deploy Outlook 2000 through AD/GPO's, but have the following questions;
1) Is it possible to overlay Outlook 2000 over Outlook 97 in such a way or is a visit to each desktop required?
2) If Outlook 2000 is deployed through AD, what will be the result when we (finally)upgrade Office 97 to Office 2000? We are concerned about possible uninstall problems due to missing/overwritten files.
3) What is the best way of configuring Outlook 2000 prior to deployment?
Experiences performing similar upgrades would be welcomed.
Thanks in advance.....
Alan
