Developer Edition Package or MSI

Hi,

I used Office 97 Developer Edition Tools to package a database for distrobution on unknown operating systems with unknown office installations, if any.

As we all know, the installation tends to fails during certain situations due to dll conflicts.

My question is does Office 2000, XP, 2003 Developer overcome this problem. I know the 2003 version uses the Windows Installer which I am experienced using for VB6 projects (VB6 package and deployment has the same problem).

I don’t want to buy a third party installers.
