Dialing properties Win 95->Win 2000 P

By anejako ·
Dear All:

I am transferring data from Windows 95 laptops to ones running Windows 2000 Professional.

I have no problems manually entering the users' various dialing properties into the new machines, but I wish that I did not have to do this manually.

Are the Dialing Properties (i.e. different locations and dial-up settings) for Windows 95 stored anywhere where I can grab them from a file on the Win 95 laptop and import them in to the Windows 2000 Professional laptop?

If I could do this, it would save a lot of time.

Dialing properties Win 95->Win 2000 P

Win 95 holds the info in an .ini file, but it's been so long since i've seen it that i don't recall the name. It's pretty easy to find under the windows directory, it's something like Dial<something>.ini As for if it works so that you could pull them over to the Win2k machine, thats a negative houston. It's kept in a seperate area that i have yet to find on a win2k machine.
Hope this helps
