dialup network & local network

when i use dialup networking on win98. after i get connected to the remote network i can not get to or ping any pc on my in office network (they all have set ip address) is there any way to fix this. so i can be on both networks at the same time.

Howdy,

Setup a hosts file in the machine, Win9x consults it first before using the dns server(s) that get assigned when you use a dialup.

this dose not work. it acks like once you connect to dial up your on that network and not on yours any more.

this is a routing problem. When you use dial-up there is a route set to relay all communication through the dial-up -IP. If you just add a route to your machine for you local network, you will be able to use both.

I have tryed this but i can't get it to work i keep getting the error (the route addition failed: 87) The computer i want to get on is 200.0.0.101 and the one iam on is 200.0.0.200 the mask is 255.255.255.0 can you tell how to add the route to thiscomputer ive tryed every way i know how just get error msg.

the route worked the problem was with my route.exe
