When I first started using Vista defrag worked fine. In the last couple weeks however it hasn’t worked at all. It won’t even launch. The scheduler isn’t working either. It’s really starting to affect my PC’s performance, programs in general are taking about twice as long to load and are running at about half speed. I’ve looked everywhere for a solution, short of calling tech support which would cost me like $50 for one frickin phone call. I have free tech support through the PC manufacturer, but if I ask them ANYTHING about windows they send me directly to Microsoft support which I have to pay for. So I’m here asking: Did Vista kill defrag? Or is it just a problem with my computer?
