Started a little project of building a pc with from some old hardware, I was replacing the CPU from intel pentium to an intel core I5 which I took from a laptop, the new cpu doesn’t fit into the cradle as it has a pin connection as opposed the the pentiums flat connection, is there an adapor or way of using this processor without having to replace everything?

If the CPU will not fit the socket you need a M’Board that has the correct socket for that CPU and that is the only M’Board it will work in.

You can not move from a Pentium to a i5 on the same Motherboard.
