There are two beta version files of Directx 8.1 That brings up an Microsoft expiry date. The files are mciqtz.drv and quartz.vxd. How can I update these files without waiting for Microsoft to finally update the Directx homepage (19 Feb 2001)? Or how to get rid of the ‘visit the microsoft homepage message’.
