Disable ME sys restore for w/InfoWipe

I run Windows ME. I need to erase files with Norton InfoWipe. I understand that ME will keep these files because of system restore regardless of using the erase feature. How can I erase these files permanently from my computer? Is there something I can disable before running erase? Just need some help and advice. Thanks in advance.
