Regarding ur first question:If you have a domain, use the UserManager for domain to disable or reset the user's password. In fact, it is best recommended that you delete his account and re-create a new one.

Your 2nd question, I would suppose thatyour 'wins.4.0' meant WIN NT Version 4.0 os be upgraded? Answer is yes, and your upgrade path would be XP or WIN2000 (and not to WIN98!)

To learn how to disable passwords on NT go to this site:
http://newdata.box.sk/2000apr/computer%20security%20-%20nt.htm

and I assume you're talking about Windows NT 4.0, yes, it can be upgrade it to Windows 2000 or XP. If you have Windows NT 4.0Terminal Server Edition or a version eairler than Windows NT 4.0 (3.50, 3.50, etc) it can not be upgraded.
Good luck,
@lberto

If you have a domain and you want to disable a password you can do it using User Manager for Domains, if the password you need is the administrator's and it belongs to a domain then you'll have to use the URL software I gave you on the PDC.
