Disappearing Print Job

Lately certain print jobs that I send to the printer simply refuse to print out. It isn’t all documents either, only a select few. They are written in Microsoft Word and I have tried printing from my desktop running 2K and my laptop running XP. Ihave tried sending them to both local and network printers without any luck. The print job queues up and then deletes itself. I am guessing that somehow the documents have become corrupted but I am not sure how. It is only a select few that refuse to print. Any ideas?
