Discover / find hidden illegal spy hardware?

Hello all

I know, that hardware can function without it being shown in Windows Device Manager.

1.
Is it possible, that someone could install hidden cellular hardware in my laptop, and then use this hidden hardware to steal my data – if yes
Could this traffic be hidden from Windows Resource Monitor Network?
Are there other ways I could discover this hidden traffic?

2.
Is there somekind of handheld scanner, app to phone, which could scan around the laptop and see if the laptop emits wifi or cellular signal?

|If you’re afraid of that, the best to do is to buy another laptop, and be sure nobody but you ever touches it.

Too costly to scan.

A decent technician could look for you but the REAL LEAKS are folk that fall for the usual phishing and other scams.

Example: Folk feed data to Amazon, Facebook and other sites willingly. There is no need to steal as people just give it up.

If you want to keep data safe you don’t put it on the web or a computer connected to the Internet today.

Example: Windows 11 and it’s force of using a Microsoft login and how that syncs data without asking is a prime example of folk giving up a lot of data!

We don’t treat that here. I see great answers so far but maybe you should take the PC to a repair shop and pay them to get the machine clean.

Also, you didn’t answer my questions so I can’t answer yours.
