Disk imaging software for servers

By razorren ·
I would like to use make an image of a Windows 2000 server that I can use for a point in time restore. I tried an old version of Ghost but it failed. Can someone recommend some software?

PQ ServerMagik

You can use PowerQuest Server Magik.

That should take care of you. I don't think that Ghost is able to do anything above a "pro" install as it's written into the code, some crap about licensing. I don't get it, all you're doing is copying a little 1 here and 0 there to another disk exactly the same way, so how that can make a difference is beyond me, but that's my experience.

So, enough rambling for me. ServerMagik should do it. Last time I read up on them, they were @ ver 4.

I have used Acronis True Image for my PIT images. Make sure you download and use the latest version if you buy a CD. Good luck!
