DMZ and firewall in VLANs

by gbjoe . Updated 25 years, 4 months ago

Hello all,
We are planning to implement VLAN in our new network. Every workstation will be terminated to a switch port. This includes all machines even the ones in the DMZ and the firewall interfaces. For example, instead of having the firewall’sinternet interface connected back to back with the ISP’s router, they will be logically interconnected via a VLAN.

I would like to know if this is asking for problems. Any chances of being hacked ? How about DoS attacks directed to the switch ?

Thanks in advance
