DNS Fowarders

If you set up a new AD with DNS, for your domain name, your dns server thinks it is authoritative for that domain name and will not look further for entries. You will have to add the entries to your zone for addresses that are external to your internal network. Your dns server will forward requests for any other domain but yours out to the correct root servers. This is the nature of having dns servers, if I have a primary zone in my database for which I receive a query, but I do not have a host record to return, I am not going to look elsewhere for that record. To me I am the master of that dns zone, if I don't know about nobody else should. Just a look at how DNS resolution happens.

You will have to manage external addresses manually.

Hope this helps.
