DNS Namespace

By mlarson ·
I am currently setting up a Windows 2000 domain for an org that does not have a registered internet name. What are the implications of using the local option on the server configuration wizard? Would I be better off choosing a namespace with a .org extension? Private network at some point may have dsl connection with multiple ips mapped to dmz zone servers.

no problem to give the dns name (.org) as long as you're not connected to the internet or there is a Domain that have the same name on the Internet.
check www.internet.com
for all the registered sites & domains on the net.
