    Do I need to learn web development for cloud computing?

    Is learning web programming required for anyone interested in cloud computing? Any suggestions or advice would be much appreciated!

      No. If you use, for example, Google Docs, you’re working in the cloud. And you can do that without any knowledge of cloud computing.

      As Microsoft says in https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/resources/cloud-computing-dictionary/what-is-cloud-computing:
      “Simply put, cloud computing is the delivery of computing services—including servers, storage, databases, networking, software, analytics, and intelligence—over the internet (“the cloud”) to offer faster innovation, flexible resources, and economies of scale. You typically pay only for cloud services you use, helping you lower your operating costs, run your infrastructure more efficiently, and scale as your business needs change.”

      Nothing about websites in that description.

      You don’t need web development to learn cloud computing basics. Focus on cloud concepts like infrastructure and service models (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS).
