9 years ago someone warned about send to a friend spam on this forum (https://www.techrepublic.com/forums/discussions/do-not-send-to-a-friend/) . Looks like there’s nothing new under the sun.
Unfortunately, recent research by Imperva Incapsula has shown that many send-to-a-friend/share-to-a-friend social sharing modules are compromised. Turns out the spamming gambling sites are even using Star Wars novels and classic literature to bypass content filters.
