document printer specific

by p_cheatum . Updated 21 years, 4 months ago

I have a user who has her default printer set to the one at her desk which is fine. She has one Word document however that is very large and needs to be printed to a network printer. The program from which this document is generated does not allow her to choose which printer to go to – it uses the Windows default printer, the one at her desk. She has to remember to change the default printer to the network printer, run the print job and then change her default printer back to her own.

Is there a way in Word 2000 (Office XP) to set a different default printer for a specific document while leaving the Windows default printer the same for everything else?

I hope this makes sense and thank you in advance!
