Domain group members in Windows 2000 Pro

By DAN_HAMMOCK ·
How do you list the domain group members in Windows 2000? Windows NT 4.0 had show members but I can't find it in Win 2K. I think you can use the net command but I can't remember the command syntax.

I'm not sure if this is what your looking for, but you can open AD users and computers in Admintools (on a DC), open the user folder, click Action and select export list to send it to a text file.

From any Domain client ( NT or Win2K) type :
NET USER /DOMAIN

That will give you a list of all user accounts in your NT domain.

I am a member of a group on the domain. I am trying to findout the names of everyone in that group. I am using Windows 2000 Pro. In Win NT 4.0 you could click the button for MEMBERS.

Oh, you want to list the members of a group in a domain?

NET GROUP groupname /DOMAIN

So, if you want the members of the IT group, do
NET GROUP /IT /DOMAIN

And the /DOMAIN switch is not replaced by your Win2K domain. /DOMAIN is really /DOMAIN.

That is it.

That did not work. That only showed the group member of the domain the compter was a member of. I want the member of the domain group of the domain I login to.

Point value changed by question poster. I think it should be a easy question, but no one can give me an acceptable answer.
