Choking on your CO2 emissions are you ? ...

by OldER Mycroft In reply to DortMind/PCEcologist cont ...

"Low Eco-level means critically high consumption of power by your PC, unreasonably big emissions of CO2, reduced performance and shorter operating period of your system. We recommend purchasing PCEcologist to advance your level of green PC."

You actually bought something to do this for you, did you?

How is it supposed to work?

Address for DortMind ...

by OldER Mycroft In reply to DortMind/PCEcologist cont ...

12 Rolland St.
Belize City
Belize 1342

Upon checking, it would appear that 'Rolland St.' doesn't actually exist within Belize City. However, at the same area code there is a Rowland St. - interesting.

However, I'd guess that you are wasting your time since DortMind is simply a marketing company - a frontend if you will - that promotes other sad companies that are incapable of the basics of marketing. Any and all attempts to reach DortMind all end up at a cheesy .SWF animation (complete with looping crappy muzak) with zero chance of contacting anything remotely approaching a human being.

Similarly, PC Ecologist is returning a 502 Bad Gateway error.

Their address is listed as - wait for it!...

DortMind Solutions Belize City, 14 Queen Street, P.O. BOX 1735, Belize.

You might have more success if you were to grab an airline ticket and attempt, upon arrival in the sunnier climes, to squeeze through their letter box.

if you find anything with these tools, turn of System Restore and run them again in Safe Mode

Download Spybot - Search & Destroy and install it. Update it. http://www.safer-networking.org/en/download/index.html

Download Malwarebytes Anti-Malware, install it and update it.

<a href="http://download.bleepingcomputer.com/malwarebytes/mbam-setup.exe" target="_blank"><u>Malwarebytes</u></a>

* Double-click mbam-setup.exe and follow the prompts to install the program.
* At the end, be sure a checkmark is placed next to Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, then click Finish.
* If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.
* Once the program has loaded, select Perform Quick Scan, then click Scan.
* When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
* Be sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.

If you encounter any problems while downloading the updates, manually download them from here and just double-click on mbam-rules.exe to install.

I would keep scanning with it until it is clean by closing out and rebooting and running it again.
