Don't use download

This article would have been more effective as a simple html page. Why does Tech Republic feel it needs to use downloads so excessively?

Pretty simplistic

Most of what is contained in the article can be obtained by reading the ODBC applet. By the time the author got down to the configuration dialog, she only mentioned the fields on the General tab.

The article would have been much more useful if it had gone into advanced configuration, or an explanation of why a given database may have multiple drivers that can be used. Why would one be used rather than another? Can you change drivers on the fly? Can you point a DSN to a different database on the fly? There is much more that could have been covered, but it isn't even alluded to.
