Download problem from university software center...

By sinjjin ·
I work for a company that provides Help Desk and other support to a university. Here's the problem: There is a student using a Dell laptop with a wireless connection. The user connects to the campus software center and is experiencing a downloading problem. She is connected to the Cisco VPN. It enables her to sign in to the software center since she is using the wireless connection.

She can sign in to the software center without any problems. She is able to select the program that she wants to download. However, regardless of whatever program she selects, once she clicks on "download", the following message appears:

Possible illegal punctuation in an input field. Go back and remove and all punctuation, such as an apostrophe, and try submitting the form again. ERROR - Database query was not valid.

This happens with both IE and Mozilla. I will say that she is using IE 6.0. I've only been in the field for a few months and have never seen anything like this. Other people are able to download from the software center with no problem. I'd appreciate any light that people can shed on this. Thank you.
