Simple Effective Usage Strategies

I'd like to see some fairly simple ways that I can implement infopath to replace things that we already use, like spreadsheets for tracking issues, fill in the blank forms, etc.

Can this program be used for Purchases and for medical forms that need to be filled in and printed ?

The applications you mention are exactly the sort of thing InfoPath is for. In the case of medical forms, probably with HIPAA coming into play, there are security measures you can take with an InfoPath deployment to ensure compliance (if the app is in a large network).
