You know that Kansas, Alan Parsons Project and ELO are all wearing black today.

They owe most of their hits to this man.

R.I.P. Moog

That guy is pretty much the one responsible for anyone who's made success through music synthesis. He's considered the guy who brought the "synthesizer" from technical gadget to musical instrument.

I wear black almost everyday, but I feel a loss today...we've lost a true innovator and contributor.

# of deaths this year

Does it seem to everyone else that an a larger than normal number of important people are dead this year? Pope, Perdue, Mitch Hedburg, Johnnie Cochran, Paul Winchell, Doohan, Luther Vandross, Prince Ranier III, Arthur Miller, Johnny Carson, ...the list goes on and on. And a lot more natural disasters too. And what is up with these airplanes? And before the beginning of this year, that tsunami. It's just like we are getting cleaned out quick.

Important people

It just seems that way cuz you're getting older, girli. I've never heard of this Perdue person. Hedburg or Winchell or Art Miller either. Doohan and Johnnie Cochran and Luther Vandross important? Not in my humble opinion. Plane crashes happen all the time. Usually 4 or 5 a year. And they always seem to happen in bunches. Yeah, the tsunami thing seemed like something out of the Bible. Has anyone ever read books from the "Left Behind" series? The tsunami reminded me of that. In one micro-instant, everyone disappears.

Chicken guy Perdue? What chicken guy? That's not the Colonel, is it? Tigger Winchell? May as well be a man on the moon. You must be a Winnie the Pooh fan. Tigger Winchell croaking is as insignificant to me as a homeless person in BFE. You can add Hurricane Katrina to your list of recent catastrophic events. Funny how hurricane references keep popping up lately.

Gone much too early

Seventy-one! Is that all? In this day and age, that's young.

Sorry to hear the news. A great innovator gone before his time.

I still treasure my VINYL copies of 'All that Bach' and 'Everything you always wanted to hear on the Moog and were too afraid to ask'.

R.I.P.
