Dr. Watson” error message: Msimn.exe Exception: access violation

I have a computer running Windows NT4 workstation SP6a and IE6 with Outlook Express 6.

Ater installing the lastest cumulative patch for IE6 and Outlook Express 6, I’m not able to open Outlook Express, it hangs with a “Dr. Watson” error message: Msimn.exe Exception: access violation (0xc0000005), Address 0x0291c473.

How do I resolve this issue?
