Drag & Drop crashes Explorer (Wndws ME)

When ever I try to copy and paste from one folder to another, cut and paste or drag and drop a file from one folder to another the Explorer application crashes and the task fails.

There are no viruses present according to Norton Antivirus. I’ve rerun Windows installation and I still have the same issue.

I’ve tried uninstalling the 2 new pieces of software that were recently installed that might have caused a problem.

I’m a little stuck at the moment.
Any help would be appreciated.
